New Breed Fights - Atlantic City HOB 03/28/08

BEDROC Martial Arts fighters Tom Vanderhorst and Neil Marron competed in the New Breed Fighters amateur mma cage on Saturday March 29, 2008 at the House of Blues in Showboat Casino (Atlantic City, New Jersey). What a great event... I really enjoy NewBreed's amatuer venue, one of the best I've seen. They are professionally run and extremely exciting. Of the 22 fights, Tom Vanderhost was fight number 5 and he won with a 3 round split decision victory over Chri Pagotto of BJJ Shore Acadamy, Ricardo Almeida Association. Neil Marron of BEDROC was fight number 13 and although the UNOFFICIAL results show a loss to Alan Wright of AC MMA, there is a hearing scheduled as the fight was "won" via a Crucifix neck crank which is illegal in this competition. Neil is an outstanding fighter and after the hearing this bout should be ruled a "no contest" with the two fighters having a rematch at the next NewBreed event.

I encourage any amatuer mma fighters on the East Coast to check out NewBreed fighters as they are filled with talent and are a great venue to test your mma skills while moving up the ladder of your career.

What a great show, and the House of Blues just rocks!!!

Congratulations to Phil Dunlap and Team Asylum for their victory by Erik Makris over Jason Murray of Bull Pen Vale Tudo via KO in round 1 and Eric Simmons over Tim Furay of Iron City Martial Arts via arm bar in round 1. I didn't get to see Phil, but I'm sure he was there. Great job to his guys.
